Weekly Reading 7/6: The e-commerce supply chain; why bloggers don’t need agents; Rent the Runway gets competition; and Kickstarter for fashion.

This week ish is getting real. So much so that I’ve included a couple of links from the newsletter. There are serious discussions happening about the realities of e-commerce and blogger representation. As these areas become more developed, people are running into tough questions; growing pains, essentially. And as is always the case in the tech world, there are newcomers. Rent the Runway has been the only dress rental company in the game for a while, so it’s about time for that market to diversify. Speaking of which, fledgling designers finally now have someone to turn – besides family – to raise money to produce their designs. Can you imagine owning a stake in the world’s next great designer?
